NEW COURSE & OBSTACLES
Get ready for the next adventure! The new Obstacle Run Aare will take place in Grenchen, in the beautiful canton of Solothurn.
The start is at the Tissot Velodrome, right by the legendary record track. Right from the beginning, you’ll sprint through our indoor obstacle course and kick things off with a first little challenge against your friends!
After this explosive start, you’ll head out of the velodrome onto the running course with more awesome obstacles. The loop takes you past the surrounding sports fields and leisure areas to the pump track and back to the Tissot Velodrome, where the finish line is.
Once you arrive, you can celebrate as a finisher, refuel at the food and drink area, and check out our partner booths.
SPORT, FUN & ACTION
Along the course, you’ll conquer a variety of obstacles. Show off your skills at the obstacles—up and down, through dirt, foam, and water. The Obstacle Run is pure running fun for everyone who loves new challenges.
Choose between three distances:
- ONE WAY TRIP (1x 3.5 km, ~ 19 obstacles)
- DOUBLE TROUBLE (2x 3.5 km, ~ 34 obstacles)
- TRIPLE THREAT (3x 3.5 km ~ 49 obstacles
For kids born between 2013 and 2017, there’s a Kids Run over one 3.5 km lap with exciting obstacles and a team ranking as well.
• KIDS RUN (3.5 km, ~ 19 obstacles)
THE TISSOT VELODROME
The Tissot Velodrome in Grenchen—known as Switzerland’s ultra-modern national stadium for track cycling—turns into a spectacular event arena for the Obstacle Run Aare.
Where the international cycling elite normally battles for hundredths of a second on the fast wooden track, obstacle run participants will experience a completely new, high-energy setting. With its mix of modern infrastructure, the impressive infield, and the extensive outdoor area (including one of the world’s largest BMX and pump track facilities), the velodrome is the perfect hotspot for an unforgettable race experience.
The unique stadium atmosphere in the heart of Grenchen, the watchmaking town, will push both the crowd and the runners to peak performance. An absolute highlight on the race calendar that shows just how versatile this sports venue can be!
