CALLING ALL OBSTACLE RUNNERS!
Promote our volunteer staff positions at Obstacle Run 2026 to your relatives and friends! Only with the support of dedicated staff can we as organizers run such events.
If you as an individual or with your club can make yourself available between Thursday, May 28 and Sunday, May 31, 2026 for one or more days and thus make Switzerland’s biggest obstacle run possible, we are hugely grateful.
The compensation per day is CHF 50 per person. In addition, all staff receive a T-shirt, a cap and catering. Parking is available and overnight accommodation in shared rooms is available in the sports hall.
There are many interesting tasks such as setting up and dismantling the start and finish area, setting up the sports hall as a changing room, bib number distribution and valuables deposit, setting up the course with various obstacles, responsibility for safety on the course and at the obstacles, working at the refreshment stations, handing out finisher shirts and medals at the finish, directing spectators at road crossings, and more.

AREAS OF DEPLOYMENT OBSTACLE RUN
There are many ways to get to know our events from the staff perspective. Each area of deployment involves a different exciting activity. Below you can find out about the main staff areas of deployment and activities.
Start Area Setup
Before the Obstacle Run you support the team to set up the start area, put up barrier tape and mount banners.
Valuables Deposit
You receive the athletes’ valuables and store them properly.
Bib Number Distribution
You welcome the athletes and hand out their bib numbers.
Obstacle Safety / Course Crossing
You are on the course and secure the obstacles as well as the course crossings.
Signage
Before the Obstacle Run you help mount various signs for the athletes and spectators.
Traffic Control
You are in the parking lot or on the road. You collect payments or support the traffic control in directing vehicles.
Course
Support us before and during the event to maintain the course and its signage
Refreshment Station
You look after the refreshment station and provide refreshments to the athletes.
Finish Area Setup
You help set up the large finish area before the Obstacle Run.
Finish Station
You are in the finish area with the finishers and hand out refreshments or shirts and medals to the athletes.
Obstacle Setup
Before the Obstacle Run you help build various obstacles and set up barriers.
Course Dismantling
After the Obstacle Run you go onto the course as well as the start/finish area and support the team with cleanup.
