SPORT, FUN & ACTION
On the course, you’ll overcome various obstacles. Prove your agility at the obstacles as you go up and down, through mud, dirt, foam, and water. The Obstacle Run Limmat is pure running fun for everyone who loves new challenges.
Choose between three distances:
- ONE WAY TRIP
(9.5 km, ~ 20 obstacles) - DOUBLE TROUBLE
(19 km, ~ 39 obstacles) - SHORT TRACK
(2.5 km, ~ 10 obstacles)
For children born between 2014 and 2018, there is a 2.5 km Kids Run with exciting obstacles and a school class ranking.

In 2027, things will get serious again – with plenty of action, fun, and crazy challenges!
Water, mud, dirt, foam – and obstacles that challenge you: over, under, through! Curious? Then watch the trailer now and see what awaits you!
Various obstacles provided plenty of action on the 9.5 km long course, which led through the exclusively opened Tägerhard gravel works to the Tägerhard forest and finally along – and into – the Limmat back to the Tägi sports center.
And remember: It’s most fun in a team – so grab your crew and be there!

SPORT, FUN & ACTION OVER 1–2 LAPS OF 9.5 KM EACH!
Up to 20 action-packed obstacles await the obstacle runners on the course.
The circuit starts at the Tägi sports center in Wettingen and leads through the exclusively opened Tägerhard gravel works. Here, dirt is the order of the day, and we’re right in the middle of it! From there, the route continues through the Tägerhard forest, where further challenges await, to the Würenlos motorway service area. The way back follows the Limmat with a literal dive back to the Tägi sports center, where finishers are celebrated with plenty of foam and the finish slide into the event arena. In the event arena, the audience and athletes can recharge at the catering area and explore our partner stands.
You can find some obstacle examples below. Placement and number may vary slightly.

SHORT TRACK 2.5 KM CATEGORY!
Up to 10 action-packed obstacles await obstacle runners on the short course through the gravel works.
Too old for the kids and too young for the full distance? Or are you just new to running and don’t want to rush things?
Then the Short Track is the right category for you! You can start in this category if you were born in 2012 or earlier.
The start is also at the Tägi sports center in Wettingen and leads directly through the Tägerhard gravel works, which is exclusively open for the Obstacle Run. After that, the route leads back to the finish at the Tägi sports center.
KIDS RUN & SHORT TRACK COURSE
The Kids Run & Short Track starts at the Tägi sports center in Wettingen and leads through the Tägerhard gravel works to the finish at the Tägi sports center. Spectacular obstacles and plenty of fun await the participants on the course.
The kids start in 3 waves according to their birth year categories: 2014/2015, then 2016/2017, and the youngest born in 2018.
In the Kids Run, there is also a class ranking where entire school classes or clubs can compete against each other.

The start and finish of the Obstacle Run, as well as the catering area, are located on and around the grounds of the Tägi leisure, sports, and event center in Wettingen. The running course itself also leads to Würenlos and back.
GETTING HERE
We recommend that all participants and the audience use public transport.
ARRIVING BY TRAIN:
Take the train to Wettingen station.
From 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, extra buses run from Wettingen station to the Tägi sports center and back every 10 minutes.
Exception: 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM every 20 minutes.
Or treat yourself to a warm-up with a 20-minute walk to the Tägi sports center.
ARRIVING BY CAR
A parking space can be booked during registration. However, only a limited number of parking spaces are available. Without a pre-purchased parking ticket, you cannot park in the reserved Obstacle Run parking spaces.
Expect a 5–10 minute walk from the parking lot to the event grounds.

* TEAM RANKING
A team consists of at least three people. All team members must enter the same team name when registering so they can be assigned correctly (pay attention to upper and lower case). More under Info.
** SCHOOL CLASS RANKING
A school class consists of at least eight students. All children must provide the same school class (name of the school, class) so that they can be assigned correctly. More about this under Info.

RESULTS 2026
Even though fun is our top priority, your race time is measured and the top three in each category are honoured on the winners’ podium. Find your data using your bib number or your name.
PHOTOS 2026
Along the course, numerous photographers will capture your best moments at the obstacles. Using a selfie, automated facial recognition will display all your photos. The photos are provided by our external partner Sportograf and are not included in the Obstacle Run entry fee. You can purchase a single photo or your personal full package with all your photos.
